OK, this is a stupid annoying thing to be indecisive about, and I know that, but I would still like everyone's opinion on this.
Now that I have that disclaimer in there, here is something that is nagging me: I got a cheque from my Grandmother's estate yesterday, which is awesome.
However I have the dillema of what to do. I really want laser eye surgery, and this would pretty much cover the cost of that, though I would need to wait until next year, because I am out of vacation, and I would need to take time off.
Also, we found out we need to adopt if we want a child, and that can cost money, so I feel I should put it towards that. Also also, the two bears record is done, and It would be nice to use a small portion of it to help fund that. Also also also, I would like a Blue Ray player.
Lastly, as a newly dubbed responsible adult, I feel like it would be good to pay down the mortgage a bit, as it's about a year's worth of payments (or the principal part of it...principal? principle?)
I know it's stupid, really. But I would like opinions, as I am lost on the matter.

So clearly I never update this. Here we go for a summary-style update, for those of you who care.
Been married just over a year now! Anniversary was on the 2nd, so hooray for that. We celebrated by going to see Kids in the Hall live. Hilarious stuff.
Two Bears has finished recording a 13 songs record. this summer we will release a few of the songs, and hopefully play a few shows in the summer to back that, and release the whole thing...possibly on vinyl..later in the fall or something.
Bought a house in January, it's a 3 bedroom 2-storey detached house with a nice yard, finished basement, attached garage, and it backs onto a park. Visits are welcome and encouraged.
Trying to start some sort of night here, either DJing or weekly shows or something of the like. I will update if I figure out anything on that avenue, so as to hook any of you in bands up with shows in London.

thanks for the support in the replies to the last post.
i don't know that things will work out the way i would like, but i think they'll be at least ok.
this weekend i saw lightning bolt for the 4th and 5th times. and they were both in canada!
lots of fun was had at/involving earthunder fest. good trip, good people, very accommodating friend's mother/brother. pie. music.
mind flayer stole the whole experience for me....though lightning bolt played really well last night.
i almost kicked some ass though because the crowd was full of people just causing shit.
i was sick all last week, and am not feeling all that well today either. though i really can't afford to miss much more work, i don't know if i can afford not to.
uhh...the end.

so...i haven't posted in a while i guess.
things have been busy. so i will write in point form. that always makes things seem more important.
1- it's a disaster! records is now a registered business. mr. cholewa and myself are a partnership
2- we signed our first band: raise them and eat them(or rather...we will be releasing at least a 7" and hope to do more with them)
3- looking for new jobs
4- we still need donations for the cancer benefit rummage sale
5- halloween show/party october 29th. show at 6pm with in absence of+ more. BE THERE!
6- cancer benefit rummage sale november 6th-7th
7- 3 new bands i am in will be up soon
8- recording soon
9- going to nyc on november 12th

the house up beside us is for rent. it is $1000/mo. one bedroom and unfinished basement in a house. brand new kitchen, back yard, etc. good for a couple. the landlord wants me to try and find a person/couple to move in because we throw shows in the basement, so it would be good if it was someone we knew/was ok with having music next door.

so we here at it's a disaster!/the disaster house are trying to organize a rummage sale to raise funds for cancer research. we will be doing an annual rummage sale to raise funds for various things, and this will be the first.
so here's what i need from you guys:

this message is for those people who have shown an interest in improving the scene, or an interest in the building in one way or another.
so to move ahead on this idea of a collective in toronto.
we have scouted out a few different areas, one in particular that would allow for this. this being: a place where we can hold cheap all ages shows, as well as a place for people to display their art. all at the same time as a place for the whole common to live. at the same time, we will also offer cheap silk screening and studio time. there will be an option to be a part of the collective and not live there, which will give you full access to come over whenever you want and be entirely involved in booking/running/helping out with shows/construction/if you want to come in and make shirts etc.
also available will be memberships with a one-time small fee ($15ish) where you then get discounts on silk screening and studio time.
(keep in mind this is all just thought for now, but we ARE getting the ball rolling on this.)
so basically the idea is just opening an affordable all ages venue for smaller shows and a place where people can go and hang out, there will always be people around. we want people to meet people, hang out, create a 'community' if you will.
so we are just seeing if you guys are interested, and on what level you are interested if you are.
we'll leave you with some of the things we would see as happening here.

chinese stars? great band. plus i got to see trevor/eva/dennis who i don't get to see everyday.
thursday was a good show, we even played fairly well. friday was so much fun...showing i spoke how it is when it comes to drinking. yesterday was mastering and now i am DONE the ichor cd and the artwork is nearly done and will be printed off this week for sale on friday night AT THE QBAR.
anyhow. yeah. PLEASE COME TO THE DAUGHTERS/FEMME FATALE SHOW AT ROCKIT ON SATURDAY. you will not be disappointed i promise.
also. clinton's on thursday and qbar on friday(thur-sat kill mannequin, friday ichor)
that would be muchos nicos if you people can support those shows.

ok. so things are stressful as of late. some good turnouts. some bad. everything is still pretty good though. last night i partied at the k.m. house and sara dropped by, which was cool, i haven't seen her since she left for kingston. we ended up talking for a long time and i drove her to the bus terminal this morning.
i was woken up by a phone call at 930 though. don't like them apples. don't like them at all. especially since it was my god damn work calling me in for tonight. owell, money is money and it was fairly easy.
ooh. km/ptb split went to the pressing plant today, which i am excited about. the release for that is may 8th i think.
